The Bible -
- Believe it:
“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” – John 6:68-69
2. Honor it:
“I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.” – Job 23:12
3. Love it:
“Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all day.” – Psalm 119:97
4. Obey it:
“But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” – I John 2:5
5. Guard it:
“O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge.” – I Timothy 6:20
6. Fight for it:
“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.” – Jude 3
7. Preach it:
“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” – II Timothy 4:2
8. Study it:
“For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances.”- Ezra 7:10
In a day and age where Truth is under attack, we as Christians (or Christ followers) must stand for Truth, recognizing error from a distance and solving the problems we face from a Biblical perspective.
Because: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.“ – II Timothy 3:16-17
